| William Clopton (left) fights a one on one combat with a Spanish Capitan, whilst their troops meet face to face with pike. Both heroes are Foundry. The pikemen in the background are Foundry and Vendel. The two English archers in the foreground are Vendel figures that have been converted using Citadel components. I painted a Spanish warband, including this guy, in blue and yellow before I read Ian Heath's excellent Armies of the 16th Century and discovered this was a highly unlikely colour scheme for a Spanish force. By then it was too late, and anyway I like the look | ||
